Solid place for Mexican food, mainly get either the burritos or tacos. Been coming here for years, nice that they still have free chips & salsa too

Without a doubt, these are the best tacos on the planet. I always go for the pastor, chile verde, and carne asada, which never disappoint. Their salsa, rice, and burritos are equally outstanding. I've been coming here for over 20 years, and the quality remains as exceptional as ever--truly the best Mexican food I've ever had.

After hearing coworkers rave about this place we finally scheduled a day to meet up and have lunch here. I ordered the tilapia plate comes with a side of tortilla but used the chips instead. What really stands out is the salsa bar that you have access to. I really liked the pickled red onions pretty bomb. Service was pretty fast. Ordered and they fried up my fish and had it out in a reasonable time. Ambiance was a typical taqueria there's a lot of foot traffic that comes and go during lunchtime. which honestly is good sign. Pricing is about average with this day in age of inflation in the good old state of Sunny California. But food is tasty. I can see why my coworkers keep coming back.

Absolutely delicious and authentic food. Order at the front, take a number and a seat. A wide range of choices with a lot of seafood options, as well as platters and combos of Mexican comfort food. Burritos, enchiladas, etc. I was on the road and stopped in for a quick to go burrito (I got the baby bean and cheese burrito) and was pleasantly surprised by the perfectly created burrito generously filled with savory refried beans (ooh, some whole beans too which is so appreciated) and a generous amount of cheese, enveloped in a warm and tasty flour tortilla. The tomatillo salsa was a perfect accompaniment. Embarrassing to admit it was so delicious I might have even drank the last drops from the little plastic to go cup (hey, I was in my car). Lots of seating indoors, rancheria music videos playing and futbol on the tvs. I was here on a Sunday afternoon and it looks like the perfect spot for locals taking a break from a busy week and having authentic Mexican food prepared by dedicated and skilled chefs who are masters at creating delicious and flavorful home style food. I will definitely stop the next time I'm in the area and continue to explore the menu.

Ok, so I was a loyal Taqueria San Jose client, and still can't get over that they haven't re-opened and seems like they may never do so, at least at their previous location. FWIW I was told that Mi Familia was owned by a relative of owner (brother?) of Taqueria San Jose, but unless others can confirm just hearsay for now. Kinda makes sense as menus are very similar, and food taste is very close to same. In any case Mi Familia is my new go-to, and honestly it is quite good as well, and the only reason it loses 1-star is that last star is reserved for Taqueria San Jose, in hopes they will return to reclaim it. If they don't come back soon to reclaim it, I may just end up giving it Mi Familia.
